|“Shop Till You Nap”…
I just want to squeeze those baby-Samantha-cheeks!
Once upon a time I used to frequent the mall multiple times a week.
I laughed, and replied, “No, Thanks Though”!
Wow. I was there a lot.
Entertainment, Shopping, Ice Tea’s and Live Music.
(Samantha loved the piano. Still does actually, now she just thinks she is qualified to play!)
There really was no reason to travel south of the Nordies-Border to the middle of the mall.
Well, until Samantha started
walking running, and discovered the Disney Store.
|Why, Hello Pink Princess.|
Near Old Navy & H&M, (okay two more reasons to head mid-mall), there is a little kiosk in front of the elevator. For you mama’s and dad’s its located next to the “magic-light-pad”.
(What really do you call this thing?!)
|See This…This Is the “Magic Light Pad”.|
Basically the kiosk is the “information” center where mall gift cards are sold and such.
One day when chasing Samantha (what all mall visits now consist of), I saw this little form which said “Kidgits”.
I quickly gathered information (everything is a quick-drive-by interaction these days) and learned that for five dollars a year your child gets a Simon KidGits Club Membership at the Shops at Mission Viejo.
Here’s What They Get:
-Their Own Card-
SG still thinks this is still the coolest ever!
-Spin the “Toy Wheel” Every Mall Visit-
Toys range from bath duckies, to candy, to slinkies, to strange things that your child will find fascinating!
Mailed Invitations to Seasonal Mall Events. Christmas parties, Back-to-school events, etc.
Each Month there are various stores with different offers, ranging from a percent off at a specific store, a buy-one adult meal and get a kids free meal (at Ruby’s!) to my personal favorite…a free chipper cookie at Paradise!
The free chipper cookie(s) alone paid for the $5 dollar card around these parts in about two weeks.
I know they say that you don’t get much “free” any longer, and while this isn’t free, its about as close to free as our little ones will ever get!
I promise your little will love becoming a Kidgit.
Need to get in and out of a store, and strap them in the stroller?
Offer a stop to “spin the wheel” and then promise a “chipper” at the end of the visit for good listening.
Ooops, I just admitted my mall strategy.
