Transformers Premier: Hollywood Date Night

July 1, 2014 - Leave a Comment

Last week, Jordan and I got to escape up to Paramount Pictures to cover the Transformers Premier. I got to cover the event for OC Mom Blog, and we had a ball. Be sure to head on over to OC Mom Blog For Fun Activities With the Family, Date Night Ideas, and Things to Do in the OC.
I leave you with our Hollywood Date Night!

Summer is here, and nothing quite says it like warm nights over dinner, drinks, and heading to the theater to see the hottest flick. Last night my husband Jordan and I got the privilege of heading to the Transformers Premier in Hollywood at Paramount Pictures.
Leaving early was a must, ensuring enough time to battle the traffic between OC and LA and share a meal at a favorite pizza joint near the lot – Pizzeria Mozza. We shared chianti, caprese, and two of their signature pies. Casual, and super homey, the food is simply delicious! An excellent date night spot, Pizzeria Mozza boasts an Orange County location in Newport Beach if you prefer to stay local.

After wrapping up dinner, we drove to the Paramount Lot and played like movie stars dashing through the sets before arriving at the theater to check in. The chairs were massive, comfy recliners fit for royalty and the Paramount Popcorn set the tone for the main event.  We strapped on our 3D glasses, and settled in to watch the premier screening of Transformers 4: Age of Extinction. The movie was a non-stop, jam packed, edge of your seat action thriller. Seeing the movie in 3D was especially a treat! It truly makes you feel that much more a part of the cinematic experience.

Mark Walhberg replaced Shia LaBeouf as the star of the Transformers series, as dad to Tessa Yeager, played by Nicola Peltz. The father/daughter duo took on defending the world alongside the Autobots, against the powers of the Decepticons.  The Transformers Movie Empire is known for its heart-racing, unending action with amazing sound effects and lots and lots of destruction. Hubby was in heaven, and the fourth movie in the Transformers Empire did not disappoint! Not only will your kids and husbands love the movie, I also found myself wrapped up in the drama and explosions.

Transformers 4: Age of Extinction is rated PG-13, with a runtime of 2 hours and 45 minutes and hits the theaters today, Friday, June 27th. Your tweens and teens will certainly love the movie, and it’s a perfect break from all the heat of the summer sun!
