|The Road to
|Hi Friends! Are we in Kansas? Nope, Just the middle of Northern San Diego.|
Sunday was intended to be a day-of-rest. Which it still really was….but I don’t know if one would necessarily describe installing a pool in the backyard the most relaxing?
Wait, let me back up.
For months now, I have been
begging, hassling, whining, “discussing” putting an above ground pool in the backyard for Samantha and I. Much to all “our village’s” opinions, we took the high road, and the path of least resistance and my dear hubby caved, agreed to get one.
We might live in the “949” but my husband is now convinced our backyard has changed our code.
Before Samantha woke up from her nap, I found the best deal on an “Intex” pool at the local Walmart.
Not being Walmart savvy (nothing against you super-store, I am just a “Tar-Jay” girl at heart!),
my hubby and I called in advance. We found we could purchase it online for half the price and then pick it up in store!
Talk about a Perfectly Priced Pool Party!
|I mean…How Happy IS this family?!|
Since this Walmart also had the playhouse available that my parents purchased for Samantha’s birthday gift (I am a little behind on picking one out!) I purchased it online as well. I jokingly looked at J and said, “I bet Amex is going to call us and think this is fraud”.
Well…What do you know…..they did!
Two big ticket online purchases for a store we have never shopped at?! You betcha!
Within a moment, not even a second, the fraud department was buzzing Jordan’s telly.
Were still laughing!
We confirmed it was indeed us, (much to my husband’s
despair “delight”), and picked up our pool.
|This is Real.|
Bless his heart, he really does deserve hubby of the year award,
My “Mr. Manly-Man” installed the pool before sunset.
Secret confession, It’s a little bigger than we thought.
Like a Lot Larger and Higher and Grander.
Anyone see that movie “We Bought A Zoo?” I kind of feel like its a bit like that.
How are you going to every learn, if you don’t try something new?
(See, my hubby had no chance at loosing this argument…ITS all about the experience!)
We might be a bit out of our comfort zone…But SO WHAT?!
Were “officially” now Three little fish in a very BIG pond.
|OHH MMMM GEEEE|
|We Bought A Pool!
Go Big or Go Home, right?!
I mean, when it comes down to it, I am all about building memories.
And, I just figure, that before our home-owners-assosiation hunts us down, and before we get a step less bold, Why not embrace our
ghetto-ness and call it what it is?
Don’t bother calling, I’m going for a dip.
